NIANTIC, CT - November 14, 2004 - INNCOM International is proud to announce it has finalized the design and robust features of its innovative Guestroom Digital Assistant (GDA-700™), a compact all-in-one "smart room" control device designed to make guests' stays more comfortable and convenient than ever. INNCOM is showcasing the GDA at Booth #3156 at the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show in New York.
INNCOM's Guestroom Digital Assistant (GDA-700) unit features full-color touch-screen displays for controlling everything from room temperature, lights and drapes, to the alarm clock, digital radio, and two-line speakerphone. Additional features include full energy-management functionality, guest services communications, automated CRM monitoring, easy staff reporting functions, and voice annunciation, to name a few.
"The GDA-700 truly is 'next generation technology' that we've invested considerable time to develop after considerable marketplace research centering on expanding guest needs and expectations," said Duane Buckingham, INNCOM President and CEO. "In designing the GDA-700, we relied heavily on our more than 18 years of leadership experience in developing and supporting wired and wireless guestroom controls and communication solutions, and we listened closely to lodging properties and their traveling customers."
"We aggregated the very best of our solutions into the GDA-700 and came up with a plethora of additional industry-firsts in the system's creation," Buckingham said. "The GDA-700 is an intuitive, easy-to-use device that has more than 35 distinct features designed to deliver unparalleled guest convenience and comfort, and significant efficiency enhancements while generating new revenue streams for hotels."
The GDA-700 can be programmed in six different languages and display specials such as "TV Snacks" or other offers tailored to the individual guest's needs. It can even be programmed with a variety of local information so guests can find a nearby restaurant or nightclub or check local weather conditions.
For guests staying on business, the GDA-700 contains a high speed-internet access hub that's fully Ethernet capable for traditional and WI-FI Internet connectivity. The system has an abundance of memory and microprocessor horsepower for upgrades to accommodate future enhancements.
The Guestroom Digital Assistant does virtually everything needed to maximize guest convenience as it adds to a hotel's profitability. Featuring a small footprint (measuring 10 x 4.125 x 6.25 inches) and tipping the scales at just 3 pounds, the GDA-700 is powered by 110-volt AC.
"The GDA-700 encompasses almost all of the in-room technological competitive edges for which an owner/operator is searching," said Rick Quirino, INNCOM Chief Operating Officer. "The system promises and delivers significantly enhanced guest and attendant satisfaction indices, special features catering to the elderly and persons with disabilities, improved staff efficiencies, advanced energy management, new revenue streams from value-added services, automated Customer Relationship Management and proactive rapid-response in a smart-yet-simple, high-tech/high-touch package."
